Autumn Pizza: Carmelized Onions and Apples with Fontina
We prepared this as finger-food-sized slices for a party, and it disappeared instantaneously. Which is good, because it's definitely best hot. Goat cheese and possibly some chopped, blanched almonds or pine nuts might be welcome, and if served pizza-style, a top of mixed bitter greens with a sharp vinegar dressing would rock.
